What does PM2.5 / PM1.0 filter mean in an AC?

PM2.5 and PM1.0 refer to the size of particles (in micrometers) an AC's filter can capture — PM1.0 filters trap smaller, finer particles than PM2.5 filters, including some bacteria and fine dust. Not every Daikin model has this; check the specific model's air purification specs.
📐 Calculated estimate Based on real BEE-certified data — see the exact numbers below.

PM stands for "particulate matter." PM2.5 (2.5 micrometers or smaller) is the standard most outdoor air-quality reporting uses. PM1.0 filtration is a step finer, catching particles about 2.5x smaller. Neither replaces a dedicated air purifier for heavy pollution, but both reduce what recirculates through the room while the AC runs.
