How we source, standardize, explain and calculate the information used across CompareDaikinAC.

Our position

Independent comparison, transparent assumptions

CompareDaikinAC is a comparison and buying-information website. We aim to make product information easier to understand and compare. We do not treat our recommendations, rankings or electricity estimates as manufacturer guarantees.

The website is not affiliated with Daikin Industries Ltd. unless a specific page explicitly states an independently verifiable relationship.

1. Product specification sources

Product specifications are compiled from manufacturer product information, catalogues, technical documentation and other publicly available sources. Where a value is unavailable or uncertain, we aim to label it rather than invent it.

2. Data methodology

We normalize fields such as tonnage, star rating, ISEER, annual energy consumption, features and dimensions into a common structure so models can be compared consistently.

  • Model names and series are kept as supplied by the source.
  • Units are standardized where practical.
  • Missing values are not silently converted into assumptions.
  • Model-year differences should be checked before making a purchase decision.
  • Pricing can change; current dealer pricing should always be confirmed.

3. Electricity calculation methodology

Our electricity tools provide estimates, not guarantees. A basic annual cost estimate uses the applicable energy-consumption figure and the electricity tariff supplied by the visitor:

Estimated electricity cost = estimated annual kWh × electricity tariff

Actual consumption can vary with outdoor temperature, set temperature, room heat load, insulation, installation quality, voltage conditions, usage hours, thermostat cycling, maintenance and local tariff structures. Some calculators apply clearly labelled scenario adjustments; these are not laboratory measurements.

4. BEE & ISEER explained

ISEER means Indian Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio. It is a seasonal efficiency metric used for air-conditioner energy-efficiency comparisons under specified testing conditions.

A higher ISEER generally indicates better seasonal efficiency, but it does not guarantee a particular household electricity bill. The BEE star rating is a useful efficiency label, while real-world consumption depends on how the AC is used and the conditions in which it operates.

5. Last updated & verification

Pages containing product or methodology information should display an update/review date where applicable. Product information can change between model years, so customers should verify final specifications, availability, warranty and price before purchase.
