What's the difference between a cooling-only and Hot & Cold Daikin AC?
A cooling-only AC does exactly what the name says — cools the room, nothing else. A Hot & Cold model can also run as a heater in winter, using the same indoor/outdoor unit. Real availability is narrow though: only 9 of 78 models in our catalogue are genuine Hot & Cold units.
📐 Calculated estimate
Based on real BEE-certified data — see the exact numbers below.
The heating function works by reversing the same refrigerant cycle used for cooling, rather than needing a separate heating element — which is why not every AC can simply be "switched" to heat mode, it has to be built as a heat pump from the start. If winter heating genuinely matters to you, that narrows your real options to a specific 9-model subset, not a feature you can assume any Daikin AC has.
