Star iseer
Does higher ISEER always mean a lower electricity bill?
Usually yes, but not always in absolute rupee terms — a smaller-capacity unit can have a lower raw bill than a higher-ISEER unit simply because it cools less, not because it's more efficient. Compare energy per kW of cooling capacity, not just the bill amount, when tonnages or actual capacities differ.
📐 Calculated estimate
Based on real BEE-certified data — see the exact numbers below.
This matters most when comparing across different actual cooling capacities within the same nominal tonnage class. Our own comparison tool surfaces this directly — when two models have different real capacity, the one with the lower bill isn't automatically the more efficient one. Same-capacity, same-usage comparisons are where higher ISEER reliably means a lower bill.
