Why won't my AC turn on, or why does it switch off automatically?
The "check the obvious first" step resolves more of these cases than people expect — a tripped breaker or dead remote batteries look identical to a genuine AC fault from the outside, and both are safe, five-minute checks. Automatic shutoff during operation is a different signal worth taking a bit more seriously than a unit that simply won't start — it often means the AC's own safety protections are triggering in response to a real issue (overheating, electrical fault), which is exactly the kind of thing you want a technician looking at rather than repeatedly restarting the unit.
