How much electricity does a 1 Ton, 1.5 Ton, or 2 Ton AC consume?

Roughly: a 5-star 1 Ton AC runs about ₹527 a month, a 5-star 1.5 Ton about ₹784, both at 8 hours a day. Jump to 2 Ton and it's around ₹1,578 — partly because it's genuinely a bigger unit, partly because we don't currently have a 5-star 2 Ton option to compare, only 3-star. The real lesson: pick the smallest tonnage that actually cools your room properly, since every size up costs real money every month.

The cost doesn't scale purely with tonnage — it scales with tonnage times efficiency. The 2 Ton figure above is higher partly because it's genuinely a bigger cooling load, and partly because the only available 2 Ton option is a lower star rating than the 1 and 1.5 Ton figures used for comparison. A hypothetical 5-star 2 Ton would cost less than this real 3-star figure, but Daikin doesn't currently offer one.
